The controversial Uganda President, Yoweri Museveni, surprisingly praised President Trump for calling Africa “s***hole countries.” He said: “I love Trump because he speaks to Africans frankly. He talks about Africans’ weaknesses frankly.” “You can’t survive if you are weak. It is the Africans’ fault that they are weak. We are 12 times the size of India, but why are we not strong?”

Museveni has ruled Uganda for over 30 years after making Uganda’s parliament remove presidential term limits in 2005. In other words, he is trying to make himself President for life. He jailed the opposition leader after the opposition party accused him of rigging polls.

Unlike Museveni, some African presidents have condemned Trump’s bad remark. For example, Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, tweeted that “We are certainly not a s***hole country. We will not accept such insults, even from a leader of a friendly country, no matter how powerful.”

The United Nations human rights office also condemned Trump’s words as “racist” and inciting xenophobia. Former Mexico President, Vicente Fox, tweeted that Trump’s mouth was “the foulest s***hole in the world.” He reminded Trump that America’s greatness was built on diversity.

African Union (AU), and African ambassadors to the United Nations, sharply denounced US President Donald Trump’s bad reference to African nations and called on him to retract his statement and apologize.
