This is a strange but true news. At least 20 people have died in a pro-Trump rally in Nigeria.The so-called Biafra which comprises of the Igbos (also called Ibo) were demonstrating in support of the new U.S. president, Donald Trump.

They are supporting Trump because they believe that unlike his predecessor, Barack Obama, The newly inaugurated president Trump would support the creation of Biafra country out of Nigeria.

This is so funny because nobody has ever spoken with Trump about this issue. Furthermore, organizing a pro-Trump rally that would leave over 20 people dead in Nigeria does not show any sense of maturity.

If the Igbo people want the support of other head of states, the right thing to do would be to write a letter to the said head of states or apply to the United Nation for further assistance.

According to Chris, a native of Yoruba, who is a resident of Warri “Frankly speaking, this action has made it clear that the Biafra supporters does not really know what they are doing.”

The police were called in to assist in stopping the demonstrators who were destroying lots of private and government properties.

The demonstration escalated into a clash between the Igbos and the police. An estimated number of 20+ people have died so far and lots of others are said to be seriously wounded.

While speaking with reporters, Nnamdi Omoni, a spokesman for Rivers state police has denied the fact that anyone was killed in the uprising. He also affirmed the fact that 65 people have been arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, the relatives of those detained by the police as well as some lawyers are reportedly working hard to get those detained released. An agreed sum of money is normally paid for the release of such detainees.

Few days ago, Nigerian Air Force fighter jet mistakenly hit a refugee camp in Borno state, killing more than 50 displaced refugees and wounding many others among whom are some aid workers.
